It is important to us here at Skally’s that your dog receives the best possible service and care whilst visiting us. To ensure this please read our Terms and Conditions and complete/sign a client card upon your first visit.

COVID-19
CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH WE ACCEPT DOGS FOR GROOMING

Due to the current covid-19 pandemic the way in which we work and groom your dogs has changed. Whilst we will be adhering to the strictest guidelines to reduce the spread of the disease. It must be clearly understood that clients wishing to have their dogs groomed at this time, do so at their own risk and must agree to the terms and conditions.

Anybody self isolating, classed as vulnerable or showing any symptoms, MUST NOT under any circumstances attend a grooming appointment.

All clients must follow all hygiene procedures put in place to minimise cross contamination.
We require at least 24hrs notice of cancellations failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee payable before any further appointments can be made. You MUST drop off/pick up at the stated time. Only one client is permitted in the salon at a time. Times are purposely staggered to ensure this. Any dogs arriving late may have to be rebooked and a late fee will apply to cover loss of earnings. Uncollected dogs will be charged a sitting fee as this may result in the next client having to be postponed or even cancelled !

Its a clients responsibility to ensure their dog is fit and healthy and must notify us of any issues prior to their appointment. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at owners risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for. Whilst every care and attention is given to your dog they are accepted at your own risk. Our first concern is the welfare of your pet, so in the event of illness or injury a vet maybe called in and unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable all costs in connection and carrying out their instruction shall be at the owners expense.
All dogs must now be bathed immediately. We will try our very best to maintain the desired style but any knotted or matted coats will be clipped short. Dogs requiring extensive extra work may incur an extra charge.

Pricing

Please note that prices displayed on the price list are a guide and these may change due to factors such as the breed size, behaviour, condition of the dogs coat I.e matting, lack of grooming Skally’s is entitled to put up the prices at any given time.

Fleas

If your dog has fleas even if you are unaware of this there will be an added charge fee of £10 as we will need to flea wash your dog, we will also need to fumigate our home/salon to prevent further infestation.

Late collection

Please ensure you collect your dog at the specified time given, failure to do this will incur an extra charge of £5 for every half hour.

Cancellation

Please note that we require 24 hours for any cancellation. Failure to do this will result in a cancellation fee of £10.

Matting/Concerns

Skally’s trades under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and if your dog is heavily matted and uncomfortable we are advised to clip off the dog for the welfare of that dog. The owner will be notified and advised of this during consultation or groom. If any other injury or concern arouses during the groom we will notify you accordingly and act immediately according to The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.  Please not if any dog is aggressive with the likeliness of biting or causing harm, a muzzle may be used to prevent injury to the groomer or dog.

Conditions

Please inform us of any conditions or traits your dog may have these may include sores on certain areas, illnesses or simply that your dog hates the hairdryer. This will enable the best care and grooming experience possible for your dog.

Instruction

A consultation before the groom especially for new customers to give clear instructions to the groomer on requirements is necessary please note that we will endeavor to carry out these however cannot always be guaranteed. If there are any concerns regarding the finished groom please let us know at the time of collection and we will endeavor to make the amends on your next visit. We may also take photographs of your dog from time to time for our social media or happy customers page if you do not wish this to happen please let us know on the consent form.

All data given is confidential and will not be passed on to any third parties.
